Overview
Clients can submit ideas for new features or improvements using the Ideas Portal. This portal allows all customers to share suggestions, upvote ideas from other organisations, and participate in product discussions.
Ideas are not formal requests. They are recommendations that help Forwood understand where enhancements may provide value. Forwood makes product decisions based on what benefits the full customer base.
How to Submit an Idea
Open the Ideas Portal.
Click on the “Ideas” icon.
Select “Create a New Post”
Enter a clear title and detailed description.
Provide examples, screenshots or use cases if helpful.
Submit the idea for review.
Other customers will be able to see, upvote and comment on your idea.
Idea Status Explained
Ideas move through several stages as they are evaluated.
Open for Feedback - The idea is visible to all customers. Others can upvote or comment.
Actively Under Review - The Product team is gathering details, clarifying requirements and assessing feasibility.
Accepted and Planned - The idea has been approved and added to the roadmap. The Product team will scope and schedule development.
In Progress - The feature is actively being built.
Shipped - The feature is complete and available in client environments.
Important Considerations
Forwood Ownership of the Roadmap
Forwood prioritises changes that create value for all customers rather than bespoke development for a single client.
No Timelines Until Approved
Forwood cannot provide delivery dates for ideas until they reach Accepted and Planned, after full scoping and scheduling.
How Clients Can Engage With Ideas
Search for existing ideas before creating a new one
Upvote ideas from other customers
Comment to share context or explain a business impact
Track status changes directly in the Ideas Portal
This process ensures transparency, encourages collaboration across customers, and helps Forwood focus on the most valuable product improvements.
