Control which safety updates reach your inbox

Written by Aurora

Overview

Email notifications are sent automatically when the system raises a notification for you. You choose which types may use the Email channel in Notification Settings. This flow takes you from the header controls to saved preferences so future emails match your choices.

Who can use this

Audience

Why it matters

All users

Reduce noise while keeping critical assignments.

Action owners and reviewers

Keep email on for assignments, comments, approvals, and overdue signals you care about.

Managers and admins

Coach the team on sensible defaults.

You need access on Notifications to open the notifications experience and Settings there. Preferences are per user; only types enabled for your tenant appear.

Before you begin

  • Confirm your profile has a valid email address; delivery still depends on organisation email configuration.

  • Decide whether you want master email on for everything or fine-grained control per type.

Walk through the flow

Open Notification Settings

  1. Click the bell icon in the header to open the notification panel.

  2. Choose See All to open the full Notifications page.

  3. In the page header, open Settings to reach Notification Settings (the page that lists Master Controls and per-type rows).

Use master controls (optional)

  1. In Master Controls, locate the row for all notification types.

  2. Toggle Email On to enable email for every type at once, or Off to disable email for all types.

  3. Wait for the automatic save and the success confirmation your product shows after changes.

Tune email per notification type

  1. Scroll to the category groups (ACTIONS, EVENTS, INSPECTIONS, VERIFICATIONS).

  2. Find a type (for example Action assigned or Verification overdue).

  3. Set its Email switch On if you want email when that type fires, or Off if you only want in-app delivery (still subject to Push settings).

  4. Repeat for each type you care about. Settings save automatically after each change.

What happens next

  • When an event creates a notification for you and Email is On for that type, an email can be sent with a summary and a control to open the related item in the app.

  • Export-completed style notifications stay in-app only (not email) per the source guide.

Notes

IMPORTANT: Turning Email Off for a type stops email for future events; it does not delete past notifications.

If you receive no email, check Email for that type, spam folders, and your profile email. Welcome or invite emails use the invited user’s address when access is granted.
