Getting Started with Forwood One

How to set up Forwood One for your organisation.

The Forwood One onboarding process is designed to take your organisation smoothly from initial setup to technical go-live. It follows clear onboarding steps, defined responsibilities, and close collaboration between Forwood and your project team.

By completing the actions below, you will unlock the key Forwood One features and prepare your organisation for a successful launch.

Required Inputs from Clients

Before Forwood can begin configuring your Forwood One tenant, your organisation will need to provide the following information.

Tenant & Environment Information

Company Structure & Site Taxonomy

Organisational hierarchy and operational structures, including:

  • Business units

  • Regions

  • Sites

Example:
Company > Region > Site

This structure is used throughout Forwood One for:

  • Permissions

  • Reporting

  • Workflows

  • Notifications

  • Operational visibility

Project Team Users

List of onboarding and validation users, including:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email address

  • Required role

  • Site or company assignment

Single Sign-On (SSO) Requirements

If your organisation requires SSO, your IT team will need to provide:

  • Identity provider details

  • Federation metadata

  • SAML configuration information

Your CSM will provide an SSO set up guide for you to complete and return.

Setup Steps & Responsibilities

Once Forwood receives the required inputs, we begin configuring your Forwood One environment. Technical setup performed by Forwood includes:

  • Tenant creation

  • Configuration of modules & features

  • Setup of your organisational hierarchy and operational site structure.

  • Setup of project team users

  • SSO configuration

Once tenant setup is complete, Forwood will work with your project team to validate:

  • User access

  • SSO authentication

  • Modules and feature scope

  • Company and site scope

Next Steps: Configure Operational Content

Once tenant validation is complete, the next phase of onboarding focuses on configuring operational content within Forwood One. This may include:

  • Risk and control library configuration

  • Checklist library configuration

  • Module-specific forms and templates

  • Workflow configuration

These activities ensure the platform is configured to support your organisation’s operational processes and reporting requirements.

Onboarding Touch Points

Throughout onboarding, you can expect the following interactions:

Project Kick-Off Meeting

Forwood reviews required inputs, setup steps, responsibilities and confirms with the customer what the success criteria are and what their main objective is in using the Forwood One solution.

Regular Project Meetings

Held with your project team to:

  • Monitor progress

  • Remove blockers

  • Follow up on actions

Site Admin Training

Training materials and guidance for your Forwood One administrators, helping them learn how to manage the system.

What Happens After Onboarding?

Once onboarding is complete, your organisation transitions into Business-as-Usual (BAU) support. This includes:

Ongoing Help & Support

Access to:

  • Support documentation

  • Learning resources

  • Knowledge base articles

  • Product guidance

Regular Customer Success Engagement

Your Customer Success Manager may coordinate regular meetings covering:

  • Questions or issues

  • Product updates

  • New features

  • Adoption support

  • Operational optimisation

This ensures your organisation continues receiving support after go-live.
